Having just turned 81, these are my birthday thoughts. Angel Wings cards and people have shared many of these same thoughts.
Getting older Is no fun; Needing strength for the day; Ready to Go, ready to stay; Looking to Jesus every moment; In the sweet by and by;
Victory in Jesus; Some Golden Sunrise; Together with our loved ones.
We share trials, crisis, deaths, illnesses, loss of memory, and weakening bodies that just won’t do what we want them to do anymore. We face these with faith, hope and love in Jesus that our Heavenly Father gives us.
We have books in our library about people like us who have been through the fire and tell us how we can cope too. I will be glad to help you find something that will help and inspire you in your daily walk with God. I would like to share one of my favorite verses in the Bible that I pray daily.
“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint” Isaiah 40:31.
I pray that you have a favorite verse or two and will share it with someone today. It will make their day to know someone cares.
PS: I have not had any takers on the Eugenia Price books. They are excellent for encouragement and strength. You are missing a treasure that is right under your nose in our church library. Please come in and see what we have.
