First of all I want to say thank you to everyone that helped out with the Easter Egg hunt! It was great to see so many people from the community come out as we had right at 180 children and over 300 people in attendance. It was even more exciting to see so many of our people come out and lend a hand as we sought to show our community the love of Christ in a simple way. Your kindness and generosity goes a long way to helping people come to know Christ and I have no doubt that seeds were planted that God will use. I am so grateful to serve a church that is willing to serve the community and show them the love of Christ.

As I have shared with you about opportunities to reach out I want to remind you to continue to seek God’s heart in how you might use your hobbies and interests to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You might like woodworking, sewing or fishing or a myriad of other things that other people enjoy doing as well.  Pray for God to open your eyes to how you could take that hobby and create a group of people with similar interests and use that common interest to share your faith as you fish together or sew together or whatever your hobby might be. If you have questions about how to do that please don’t hesitate to ask me how we might be able to make that work.

I also ask you to be in prayer for our church as we seek God’s heart about our next staff member. I am more convinced than ever that we need a full-time Family Minister that can give themselves to help us reach families. If you look in our children’s or youth wing on any Sunday morning it is clear that we have plenty of room for more children and youth.  Things are very different today than they were over 20 years ago when I did youth ministry and the challenges are great. I believe we must work to reach the families and I believe that God has someone for us if we will seek God’s face and listen to His leadership.

Thank you for allowing me to serve alongside you! I believe God has great things in store for us and I know that this is a great church that can impact this community in a great way!
