I want to say how blessed and grateful I am to be serving here alongside you.  Your heart for missions has been a real blessing to me and I genuinely appreciate the way you give sacrificially to see mission work continue.  You exceeded our goal for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and have shown in your giving that we do care about reaching North America with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  There are still so many in our country that don’t know Jesus and sadly we as Christians have become the minority in an increasingly secular society.  We must continue to give and be willing to go across the street, across the county, across the state or across the nation to reach those right here in our backyard, that don’t know Jesus.

I want to ask you to be praying for the nominating committee as the committee faithfully works to seek God’s face and hear from Him in who should fill the various positions in the life of the church for the next church year.  Please pray that God would open your eyes and heart for what He may want you to do in the life of the church this next church year.  If God has put something on your heart today please let me know or one of the committee members know so that we can plug you in where God is leading you.

Also beginning in May we will start offering different options for you on Sunday night.  Beginning May 1st I will be teaching through the book of Ephesians and you are welcome to join me for that study as we will walk our way through this great book.  Also beginning May 1st we will offer a course by Max Lucado called Max on Life.  This study deals with the things that cause us to struggle in life and how we should respond to them and how we can overcome them with God’s help.  Kent Sanford will be the facilitator for this class that will meet for eight sessions.  I hope you will join us for one of these or perhaps some others that we might be able to offer a little later in the month.

Please pray for our church and for God’s leadership as we seek to reach people for Christ and to grow those that already know Him.  We serve a great and mighty God and we want to glorify Him as a church that others will be drawn to Him.
