5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?”
John 14:5-7
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but
through Me.
With smartphones and car navigation systems nowadays, gone are the days of unfolding maps or directions and struggling to fold them again. Now you can simply ask for directions and listen to a computer voice tell you where to go. One thing still holds true though, you need specific directions in order to get where you are wanting to go, not any random road will get you there!
For example, if you are coming to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church you must first turn onto Pleasant Grove Rd. From either Hwy 282 or Legion Rd (or land a helicopter). A person cannot just choose any road on the map and end up at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
The same holds true with heaven; not all roads lead to heaven like some people want to believe, not all religions lead to heaven. Solomon in his proverbs wrote
“There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”
Proverbs 14:12
The Bible gives clear directions on how to get to heaven, it is our road map! Take time and look up these passages for a clear roadmap to heaven: Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9-10, Romans 10:13.
Jesus told Thomas
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
John 14:5-7
Luke writes in Acts 4:12,
“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
