I want to welcome Caitlin Sanford to our staff as a summer intern serving primarily with children but also helping with our youth. Caitlin will be doing a number of things to help us minister to our children this summer so please be in prayer for her and let her know that you are willing to help in any way that you can. She will be busy creating various avenues to communicate with the parents of children both inside the church and in the community. She will help organize and implement events, organize and improve our supplies for the children’s department and be a great encouragement to our children as she ministers to them.
I am excited about Homecoming this year and look forward to celebrating together. During the Sunday School hour Kelly Murphy will be sharing with us through music. Kelly is a very good vocalist and has a sincere witness for the Lord. I know you will truly enjoy hearing her share her heart through music. She will also sing a couple of songs during the worship service. Reverend Rubin Smith will be here to bring the message during the service and we look forward to hearing what God has put on his heart to share with us. It will be great to have he and Connie with us for this special day.
Begin now praying for our Vacation Bible School that is just around the corner in July, the 10th-14th. There will be opportunities for everyone to serve or participate. Pray that God would raise up all the workers we need as well as work in the hearts of children as this is such a critical time to see them come to Christ. This is a great opportunity to reach out beyond the walls of our church and invite the unchurched to join us. Ask God to show you people to invite to join us for VBS this year.
