Anyone with children who are old enough to talk, have had those “what if?” moments. Currently Coleman and Mikaila are in the “what if?” stage, and everyday it’s a constant barrage of questions that could go anywhere or are about anything. Sometimes I play along, and sometimes I respond “what if you hush?”. Many times their questions are silly, but sometimes they are serious, and I try to pay attention.
Well, I have a serious “what if” question for you; what if you are missing out on a kingdom opportunity because of fear or selfishness?
You see, I believe that in every stage of life God has a purpose and a ministry for us. What is God’s purpose for you here, right now? In the book of Esther, Queen Esther had risen to a level of royalty, and was happy there in her own little world. Her cousin Mordecai on the other hand, knew that it was divine appointment. In chapter 4 of Esther, He reminded her that she didn’t get to where she was for her own comfort.
Esther 4:13-14 Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, “Do not imagine that you in the king’s palace can escape any more than all the Jews. 14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?”
What is your kingdom assignment? Are you doing it?
“To miss a kingdom assignment because we’ve become too caught up in our personal kingdom is one of the greatest tragedies we could ever face.” Dr. Tony Evans
