This month we will have an evangelistic outreach, our Love of God Banquet, on Wednesday the 15th. Ask God to put people on your heart to invite and pray for them as you invite them. Pray that God would be at work in their heart. You will be able to invite them to a free meal, free entertainment, and they will have the opportunity to hear the Gospel. We will meet in the fellowship to eat and fellowship then we will make our way to the sanctuary for music and a message.
A good friend of mine, Scott Bridges will be coming to share and lead us in music. Scott is a great singer and has a real heart for the Lord. After we sing together for a little while Stacy Dyer will share about the Love of God. Stacy has a heart to see lost people come to faith, so he will be presenting the Gospel.
As you know our goal is to baptize 24 people this year and as of this writing we have already had a baptism and I know of at least three more that need to be baptized. I pray that this evangelistic outreach will result in more fruit for the Kingdom of God and more people that will need to be baptized. Again, ask God to work in hearts and be willing to be used of God to invite people and share your faith with them as He presents opportunities for us.
To have a heart for the lost we must have a heart for God. To have a heart for God we must be in His Word. Pray that God will give you an unquenchable hunger for His Word and may it be a driving desire in your life. May we be people that are not complacent in our faith and only content when we dig into His Word. Spend time with God so that your love for Him will grow and you will also see your love for others grow.
