We are about to celebrate our 168 anniversary as a church. Our founding fathers could not have envisioned the world in which we live. What they could envision is the need for the Gospel to be proclaimed in this community and for lost souls to come to faith in Christ. This church still exists and grows today as a testament to the faithfulness of those who came before us.

We have determined that our focus moving forward will be Reaching Generations, Transforming Lives, and Mobilizing Disciples. We don’t want the best years of our church to be behind us. We want to continue to be obedient to God’s call for the church in general and more specifically for Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

You will begin to see some updates take place in our facility in the very near future. No, I don’t have an exact timeline to share with you at this point, but I am excited to see our facility receive a bit of a refresh. Most guests make a decision within the first 10 minutes at a church as to whether or not they are going to return. We want to make our facility as warm and inviting as possible.

I realize change can be uncomfortable sometimes but try to keep your heart and mind focused on the lost around us and the great need they have to know Jesus. Our founding fathers started something entirely new, and we stand on their shoulders. We want to honor their faithfulness by being willing to move forward with God to see generations reached, lives transformed, and disciples sent out into the world!

In His Amazing Grace,
Dan
