As Coleman and I prepare to travel to Jamaica There is one thing that I look forward to besides the actual work of teaching and preaching, and that is connecting and serving alongside other believers as part of the family of God.
Despite the fact that our cultures may be very different, there is a special bond that exists between Christians because of being united in the Spirit. It is a bond of Christian brotherhood held together by the Lord and cannot be duplicated because it is the Lord that empowers it.
Some of my most meaningful relationships thus far have been with Christian brothers and Sisters that I have served, worshipped, and enjoyed time with both here and abroad. In the world simply having large numbers of friends does not mean that you have lots of meaningful relationships.
My hope and prayer for our youth and children here at PGBC is not only for their eternal salvation in Christ, but that lifelong friendships will be made and held together in Christ. Our youth group recently spent time having fun together at Six Flags theme park. Please continue to pray for our children and youth programs.
