Sermon Title: Yes With Your Mouth, No With Your Feet! | Matthew 21:28–32

Speaker: Associate Pastor Jeff Phillips
Scripture: Matthew 21:28–32
Supporting Scriptures: Luke 6:46; Titus 1:10; Titus 1:16

In Matthew 21:28–32, Jesus tells the parable of two sons who respond very differently when their father asks them to work. One son says no, but ultimately goes and does what his father asked. The other says yes, but never follows through.

This simple story challenges us to look beyond what we say and examine what our lives actually demonstrate. Our words may tell one story, but our actions reveal what is truly in our hearts.

Sermon Points
First Son = No Poker Face — His initial answer was no, but his actions ultimately showed obedience.

Second Son = Poker Face — He said the right thing, but his actions revealed that his heart was somewhere else.

Who Does the Will of the Father? — Jesus points us toward the importance of doing the Father’s will, not simply saying the right words.
