“Love” is a word that brings to mind a million things.  With February in the air our thoughts turn to Valentine and the subject of “Love”.  So, what do you love?  Do you love to read? Do you love a happy ending?  How will you express love for God? For others?  For the freedoms we share?   What is the greatest love story you have ever read?  I hope you answered, THE BIBLE.  It has love stories in this wonderful love story from God.

“For God so loved the world that HE gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in HIM with have everlasting life”..

Now, that’s a real true love story.  Can you think and perhaps write down some of the verses in the Bible that have the word “Love” in them.

I recently read one of the Mitford series books, “Somewhere Safe with Someone Good” by Jan Karon.  I got the idea of writing verses and posting them on the door or wherever you will see them often (maybe the refrigerator) and in that way you share them with others.

This series is so full of Love….love for your family; love for your pet; love for your job; love for your church; love for your neighbors; love for the elderly; love for good health; love for GOD and HIS creation.  I could go on but if you read any of these books you can see for yourself the love all around you.  Father Tim, Dooly, Barnabas, and others will capture your heart.  Just ask Addie or Sue or Phyllis or Barbara or Susie or Mary or Emily  and they will tell you to read them.

Books in the series are:

  • At Home in Mitford
  • A Light in the Window
  • Out to Canaan
  • Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good
  • Light From Heaven
  • A Common Life
  • These High Green Hills
  • A New Song
  • In This Mountain

read, Read, READ, everyday and you will find a happy ending to a beautiful love story
