Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

As we have just celebrated Father’s Day I am reminded of how blessed I truly am, and how we are to trust in the Lord without always understanding. Just the other day I took William with me to Walmart to get a few things. As we traversed the parking lot on the way out, I knew that he would not pay attention to the traffic, so I instructed him to just hold on to the cart as I pushed it; he walked as I walked and stopped when I stopped. William could not see all the traffic that was coming, however he trusted that I could see and just held on to the cart. I thought, “what a wonderful lesson”!

If we will just hold on to the Lord and trust without always understanding, then He will lead us on the correct path because He loves us and cares for us. The difficult part is not leaning on our own logic and understanding, but on His will. It takes the faith of a child! Not a big strong-man faith! As you traverse through life, hang on to Jesus and trust that He knows the way.

Blessings,
Jeff
