I would like to express my great appreciation for the many people who served at the Fall Festival / Trunk or Treat this year. The event this year had a wonderful attendance, more than in previous years and I believe that it was a fantastic outreach tool for the community.

How do we serve God? By serving others! Peter makes it clear in 1 Peter 4:10-11 that we have received our gifts from God for two purposes— to serve others and to bring praise to God. Something like a fall festival may not seem like a grand and glorious mission, but it takes many people to make it succeed. From the kitchen to the trunks, games, registration, set-up and break-down, and everyone else involved, your help and service is greatly needed and appreciated. I am not exactly sure how many people attended the festival this year because not everyone registered, but 125 hotdogs were served and not everyone ate a hotdog. That is awesome! Thank you for being willing to serve the Lord by helping out with the Fall Festival / Trunk or Treat.

1 Peter 4:10-11 (NLT) 10 God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 11 Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.

Blessings,
Jeff
