“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint.” Isa. 40:31

Sometimes life seems like such a burden that it’s hard to just get out of bed in the morning. But remembering your strength is from the Lord, not your own, will help you get going.

Waiting is hard. Waiting is frustrating, Waiting takes much patience. It seems we are forever waiting for an answer to prayer; waiting for a loved one to get well, waiting for a special day to come; waiting for the traffic to move and just waiting for the food to come. Whatever you are waiting for will come in God’s own time. His time is not our time but time does move on. I just read a Eugenia Price book entitled: A WAITING TIME This was the last book she wrote before she died in 1997.

It is about a family living in Darian, GA which is near Brunswick and St. Simons. It is not part of a series but based on many of the characters in her other books about the south. I highly recommend it. Attie, the main character, is waiting for time to pass after her husband is taken from her in a stormy sea accident. She is a northerner and not familiar with life on a plantation with slaves.

You will weep, laugh, and wait with her as her life goes on.

We have all the Eugenia Price books about Ga. Fla. and the St. Mary’s River areas. Eugenia has been gone now about 20 yrs. but her books are as popular as ever and still in demand. Come and read them for yourself. Don’t WAIT any longer to come to our library.
