It is hard to believe that 13 years have flown by! As of March 1 , I have been pastor of this church for
13 years. Janice and I feel so very blessed to get to serve alongside you and be a part of what God
has done and is doing here at Pleasant Grove!
13 years ago, Hailey was finishing up high school in Lincoln County, GA. In the fall of 2013, she began
college at Truett McConnell University where she earned her degree in education and graduated top
of her class with honors. She has since earned her master’s degree in education from Liberty
University where she also graduated with honors. She got married in our church pavilion and lives in
the Gainesville area.
13 years ago, Brooks was finishing up 7 grade in Lincoln County and in the fall of 2013 began 8
grade here in Gilmer County. He played football, basketball, and tennis that year before going onto
Gilmer High the next year where he played baseball for four years. He went on to play baseball at
TMU and graduated with honors with a business degree. He went on to Kennesaw State to play for
two more years and earn his MBA. He got married in 2025 and he and his wife have lived in
California, New York City, and will be heading back to California at the end of March.
I say all of that to say that much has changed in the 13 years we have been with you! Janice and I love you and appreciate you and your support of our family through these years. We look forward to what God is doing and is going to do. We are excited about the growth we have seen and the challenges that come with that. Please continue to pray for us and for this church. We want to see God glorified in all that we do. We want to see people reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is our prayer that Pleasant Grove will have tremendous impact for the Kingdom of God in the years ahead of us!
