Have you ever lost something and after a while had just given up on finding it? Well that happened to our family in 2017. At Thanksgiving in 2017 while out of town family was visiting, we somehow lost the remote control to our ROKU streaming device on our television. We searched long and hard for that remote, but to no avail. Anna and I had finally decided that it must have been thrown away by accident with the Thanksgiving clean up. Fortunately, there is an app for smartphones that can control the device and we’ve been using our phones to control it since then. Just a few weeks ago I was looking for a lost toy when guess what I found? The remote. After we had given up and thrown in the towel, it appeared just like that after a year and a half.

That crazy remote reminded me about our prayers for the lost, sometimes we give up way too soon. It can be frustrating to earnestly pray for someone and not see any results for a long time. However, don’t give up hope and throw in the towel on praying for them, you never know when things will turn around.

Blessings, Brother Jeff

First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1Timothy 2:1-4

Blessings,
Jeff
