I want to encourage you to pray for a couple of opportunities that are coming up this March. Sunday afternoon March 5th, we are going to show Lifemark the most recent movie by the Kendrick brothers. As always, it is a faith-based movie. The movie’s website says this about the movie:

David’s comfortable world is turned upside down when his birthmother unexpectedly reaches out to him, longing to meet the 18-year-old son she’s only held once. With the encouragement of his adoptive parents, David embarks on a journey of discovery that leads to a staggering truth from his past.

This is an opportunity to invite someone that you know is unchurched to come see a heartwarming story that will also help point them to Christ. We will have popcorn and bottled water as well as coffee. I hope you will plan on joining us and bring someone with you.

Sunday March 12th, we will have Kenneth Aycock here from Community Connections. This organization comes alongside foster families to help them in the process and to help them minister to the foster children and their families. Their website is www.families4families.cc if you want to check them out. On their website you can find their mission statement as well as a statement of their beliefs.

At Families 4 Families we understand that there is no such thing as just being Foster Parents. It’s really a family ministry. Many times you are not just taking care of a foster child but also interacting with their family as well. Our vision is simple to come alongside of your family to support you in ministering to their families who are hurting in the foster care system. Our desire is to have an agency that treat people like family.

They are a Christian organization and the need for Christian Foster Parents is great. Kenneth will share for just a few minutes Sunday Morning the 12th, but will come back on Sunday March 26th during the Bible Study hour to give more information to anyone that might be interested in learning more about their program.

Please pray that God will direct us, as His people, to impact the lives of as many people as possible in our community as we continue to seek to meet our goal of baptizing 24 in 2023. Thank you for letting me serve alongside you at Pleasant Grove Baptist!

In His Amazing Grace, Dan
