As I write this article, yesterday was Palm Sunday. We were blessed to baptize two sweet young ladies and be reminded of the grace of God and the wonderful image presented through baptism in saying publicly that we are not ashamed of Jesus Christ. We were able to celebrate the Lord’s Supper together and be reminded of the high price He paid for our sins. As we observe the Lord’s Supper, it should always remind us of the precious blood of Christ.

We were also very blessed by our music ministry as Doug, the choir, and our A/V team worked together to present the Gospel through song. We are so blessed to have wonderful folks that are very talented and are willing to use those gifts to glorify God. There is something very powerful about the Gospel Message through song. I want to publicly thank everyone involved for the hours of work it took to share that with us on Palm Sunday.

When we consider Palm Sunday, we must never forget that Jesus willingly rode into Jerusalem knowing what awaited Him. The praise of the crowd would quickly turn to the cries of “Crucify Him.” He was willing to pay the price for our sin and even endure the false praise of the crowd knowing that our forgiveness depended on His willingness to die in our place. A love like that should never be taken lightly. We can be grateful that our Savior has come, that He paid the price for our sins, and that He rose from the grave, and ascended to Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father.

Jesus is worthy of our praise, and I pray that our lives would daily be an offering of praise for the only One worthy to be called our Savior and King. King Jesus is alive may others see that He is alive in us as well!
