That is a relevant question considering the many religions that are in the world today. The answer is straightforward – Jesus solved the problem that separates us from God, no one else did. Imagine that you were riding a bicycle. As you are pedaling the bicycle, the chain comes off and you can no longer pedal. The problem cannot be solved by washing the bicycle, or by adding air to the tires, because the problem you have is with the chain. Well, humankind has a serious problem that separates us from God called sin. The Bible tells us in:

Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.

If we are honest with ourselves, we know that we have indeed sinned. However, doing lots of good things like helping others and giving to charity and being a good citizen, does not fix the problem of sin just like adding air to a tire does not fix the chain. The original problem must be addressed. The Bible tells us in:

1 John 2:1-2 “My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone

sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.”

Jesus was the only one who was fully God and fully man, who lived a sinless life, and who paid the sacrifice for our sins on the cross. Then He overcame death. To be saved we must put faith in what Jesus has done, not in what we have done.

It’s February, who loves you more than your Valentine? God does!

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
